I do hope you realize, that every time you decide NOT to do something, because you object to the person or system that told you to, or expects you to do it; you are still under the control of whom ever you're opposing. You are still not doing what's best for you, or what you really want to do. Every day I watch women digging in their heels against domineering men, men disappointing and betraying women they actually admire and respect, and all in the name of being their own person. Being human is dreadfully complicated, but living your life on someone else's terms is just silly, and when you really think about it, 'NOT' being what others want is just as slavish as bowing to their every whim.
